Tonkatsu (Japanese Fried Pork Cutlets) & Wasabi Dressing
Serves 2
2 pieces of pork loin meat (1/2 inch thick)
Salt & pepper
2-3 tablespoons flour
1 egg
1/2 cup panko Japanese style bread crumbs
3 cups neutral-flavored frying oil (vegetable or canola oil)
1 head cabbage
Optional: Tonkatsu sauce
Wasabi Dressing
Wasabi - 1 inch long piece, or tubed wasabi
1/4 of an onion
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice or vinegar
Optional: Black pepper
Carrot Salad
Serves 2 as a side
2 raw carrots
Optional: Cream cheese

Vegetable peeler or cheese grater
1 pot for frying
3 small trays or plates for coating chicken
Paper towel
General Steps
Fry the pork.
Prepare carrot salad.
Make wasabi dressing.
