Join Domenico and Maria in their home on the small island of Capri and learn how to make a lemon cake. A recipe passed down from Maria’s grandmother transforms simple ingredients into a heavenly lemon dessert!


Ingredients & Preparation

Have your ingredients pre-measured and prepped before the class for a more seamless experience.

If you do not have certain ingredients, our chefs will do their best to suggest substitutions.


Lemon Cake
1 Cake

  • 200 grams (2 cups + 1 tablespoon) almond flour

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 lemons

  • 160 grams (3/4 cups) sugar

  • 150 grams (1/2 cup + 2 1/2 tablespoons) butter, melted

  • 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons) limoncello

  • 70 grams (6 tablespoons) potato starch (or substitute such as cornstarch)

  • 8 grams (1 3/4 teaspoons) baking powder

  • Powdered sugar and lemon slices (optional for decoration)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls

  • Electric hand mixer

  • 10” round cake pan or springform pan

  • Zester or grater

  • Optional: parchment paper
