Join Domenico and Maria in their home on the small island of Capri to make “deliziose,” a traditional Neapolitan dessert you’ll want to make over and over again. Buttery lemon cookies filled with vanilla cream and rolled in hazelnuts, one can see how the name of this dessert literally translates to “delicious!”

Before class: Please make sure your butter is room temperature.

Shortbread Pastry
250 grams (2 cups and 1 tablespoon) all-purpose flour
100 grams (1 cup) powdered sugar
2 egg yolks
125 grams (1/2 cup) butter, room temperature
1 lemon (zest)
Cream
Pinch of salt
Vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
40 grams (3 1/4 tablespoons) sugar
50 grams (1/4 cup) all-purpose flour
250 grams (1 cup and 1/2 tablespoon) whole milk
Toppings
Crushed hazelnuts
Powdered sugar
