Negroni and Crostini

Saturday, February 13th
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM Pacific Time

Join Gaia from Tuscany for a classy Italian aperitivo complete with three different types of delicious vegetable crostini paired with one of Italy’s most famous cocktails, the Negroni. A perfect Valentine’s date with your loved one!

Please be mindful of the time of the class you sign up for and your own time zone. After registration, you will receive a link to the Zoom online meeting session we will use.


Ingredients & Preparation

Have your ingredients pre-measured and prepped before the class for a more seamless experience.

If you do not have certain ingredients, our chefs will do their best to suggest substitutions.


Crostini

  • Italian bread or any bread of your choice (4 slices per person)

Pepper and Cheese Topping

  • 2 peppers, cut in half and de-seeded (one yellow and one red pepper)

  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese

Zucchini Topping

  • 1 onion

  • 3 zucchini

  • Mint

  • Oregano

  • A few teaspoons white wine vinegar

Cannellini Bean Cream Topping

  • 1 can cannellini beans or white kidney beans

  • Rosemary

  • Pancetta in cubes (or sliced bacon if not available)

  • 4 garlic cloves salt

  • Black pepper

  • Chili powder

  • Extra virgin olive oil

Negroni

  • 1 bottle Campari

  • 1 bottle Red Vermouth

  • 1 bottle gin

  • 1 orange

  • ice

Equipment

Certain commonly used kitchen tools are not listed here such as cutlery, dishes, mixing bowls, pots, and pans. Any additional equipment is listed here.

  • Cutting board & knife

  • Blender/hand-blender

  • 3 or 4 small and/or medium frying pan

  • A wooden spoon for cooking vegetables

  • Baking tray for toasting bread

  • Oven

  • Cocktail glasses

  • Cocktail stirrer or spoon

General Steps

  1. Prepare 3 kinds of crostini - peppers and cream cheese, zucchini, and cannellini cream.

  2. Mix the Negroni cocktail to enjoy with your crostini!
